My logic would be flawed only if I had implied that their god didn't exist, while "ours" did. Which is not the case. Your tentative demonstration is not accurate, ie : If both gods existed, theirs and "ours", they would have fought it out, and 6000 innocent would not have had to perish, unless their god had overcome "ours". Now if there is only one common god, it wouldn't have happened, either. So the case is open.
