surfbaron,re:"real time". All these hi-tech advance make
one assumption that humanbeings can catch up with the
'nano-tech'. I think 'brain' is not capable of doing that
until we are developed into 'cone-heads'.

Doing more does not always 'produce more'? It could be
the reverse, like 'messing things up faster' in a much
more rapid rate, ...... out of control?

Nonetheless, it's cool to be at the 'forefront'.

Imagine senior mgmt being able to communicate in real time to the troops in the field and vice versa.

Voice communication in real time is possible with Nextel's IDen. The ability to send and receive pictures is an overwhelming positive for big and small enterprise.

It was brought up by a friend on a different message board, and I was going to ask Jon Koplik this question, but I will throw it out here for the thread. Hasn't QUALCOMM developed and holds IPR on a similar iDen like application called Q Chat?

The ability to send and receive pictures, preferably streaming, is an overwhelming positive for big and small enterprise. VOD will kill iDen imo.(If it doesn't die by other means sooner.)
