Actually that may not be a bad thing...as a deterrant. Maybe not a change per se, maybe a suspension of immigration for a certain time period.

What would work much more effectively would be if US, and the coalition, could somehow stop all trade. Just stop. There is hardly any manufacturing in these countries. Imagine no light bulbs being available. Imagine no bedsheets, no steel utensils, no spare parts for their power plants, or water recycling plants, no spare parts for their BMWs and Rolls Royces, no spare parts for aircraft maintenance. Hell, no citizen of the coalition to maintain their infrastructure. No Indians & Pakistanis to clean their toilets and build their palaces and sky scrapers.

The lessons about the importance of global economy and need for getting along would be very clearly imparted.

Malcom,re:"immi policy". Yes, or we can go the Nature's way.

There are chemicals(things, humanbeings) that are great individually.
Mix them, Boom. Mix them slowly, very slowly, you may have a chance
to 'culture' a new breed.

I don't mind 'immi' to be US citizen. I mind if 'immi' come here and want
to carve out a 'corner of their own kind'. I don't think this is what the
original 'immi policy' and our founding father envisioned to happen.

It's difficult to achieve but then maybe that's why 'wealth/properity
never last more than 3 generation'.
