It is one shining example where people have fought the dictorship and settled on a democratic instituion. But unfortunately there are not many examples of such changes. Things have changes since I wrote last evening. The US has started to hit targets in Afganistan. I wish them success and fully support going after the Taliban. I hope in next few weeks we get rid of Taliban and establish a democratic government. Provide food and other support so that the peaceful and democrating life can begin in that country. Back to my tirade against the dictators. I hope we ask General Musharaf of Pakistan to return his country to democracy and ask them to clamp down on terrorist camps who are sending terrorists in Kashmir and the middle east. Do not reward these dictators for supporting US by helping them denying their own people the basic rights. My greatest wish is that the US government spreads the basic american values (freedom, equal rights, justice and freedom of religious practice) through its foreign policy and support governments that support these values. An finally, I attended a classical dance/drama from India ( I don't know which part of the country) at our Univeristy (UConn)which had a theme "Dance of Life". Through dance, the dancer told stories from Judaism, Sikhism, Christianity, Sufism (Islam), Hinduism and Budhism. What a beautiful theme and performance. The point of the performance was that god is one and there are many ways to find it/him/her. In this context our discussion about Islam, Christianity and other religions is pointless. It is not the religion that teaches cruelity, terrorism or exploitation, it is the extremists/disfranchised people who resort to such means. Lets stop talking about Islam or other religions and focus on getting rid of the terroists and causes that creat them. Kdavy
