Hmmm.... I wasn't discussing economic rights...

I was discussing inalienable (irrevocable) rights as identified in the US bill of rights. Our founding fathers put considerable thought into what rights they felt were inalienable, and which were not.

They didn't believe people had an inalienable right to be rich. Nor did they believe there was any right to a job, or education. Nor did they believe there was any right to a SS pension..

What they believed was everyone has the right to enjoy an equal opportunity to prosper, or fail..., the right to PURSUE happiness, not the right to possess it.

However, that being said, in subsequent years, society has found it beneficial to provide free education, to encourage the creation of jobs for certain social groups, and the creation of a SS program (although poorly designed and destined to fail).

So what your comments have to do with my original post is truly beyond me. It's tantamount to your claiming you have a right to internet access.
