My point was obviously the islamic issues of

- education
- social security through taxes
- free, protected trade

And that's why so many Islamic nations are economic powerhouses right, eh??

That's why, as a result of all those petro-dollars they've extorted out of the industrial west for the oil infrastructure built by US dollars and expropriated without compensation, all of the Arabs in the Mid-East are all highly educated and have pension plans in place, right??

And all of those suicide bombers are actually multi-millionaires made rich off those petro-dollars, right??

I can only imagine how successful they would be were the US to find some other source of energy and refuse to purchase their oil.

The US, Japan, and Europe, as a result of purchasing all of this oil from the Arabs, has CREATED their present day economy.. In fact, some could say that it has been the ultimate in foreign aid programs....

In fact, the entire US trade deficit could be consider "foreign aid" as we buy more from the rest of the world, than they purchase from us.

I heard John Gibson on Fox, this afternoon, eloquently echo the sentiments I've felt for sometime.. He heard some Saudi Arabian living here in the US claiming that American's were "arrogant". Gibson's response was that here was a Arab, with numerous US college degrees, made wealthy by the US purchasing their oil, and HE has a right to claim that we're "arrogant"??

I so look forward to the time when one, or both, scenarios come about... The first, that we are to bring online competing sources of oil from the Caspian Sea area to compete with the Arabs, and/or an increase in US energy independence through whatever means are required.

Then we tell these "humble" Arabs to kiss our heinies and rid ourselves of any further responsibility for protecting them from killing on another.
