On second thoughts, you can probably only look back on a trend; a trend is what has happened, NOT what IS happening.

Please ignore and excuse my last posting. It was too hasty.

hi tyke,

just got back from a long weekend away.

where to start. sure one can use QQQ to write straddles w/ hedges.
the evil in doing this, as I'm sure you know is opening gaps. Luckily with indices the chances of this happening had been rare, but more recently this probability has gone up some.

Ratio-writing is an alternative, but I would be loathe to do that w/o thorough understanding of your possible exits.

always keep in mind you margin maintanence requirements; and don't worry about commissions.
that should be the least of your problems if you feel this is a successful strategy.
