Methinks you might understand it, just start form "those words", both go and search forwards and backwards. Do not miss Moussadek. Ilmarinen Kane and Abel is also interesting, the conflict of farmers staying in the same place as theri fields, the nomads out in the desert where one cannot stay in the same place. And the conflict if there is a climatological change, just like at this time in history. (don't tell me you didn\t understand anything of that, but if that is the case, try to ask someone else) You can also try to learn more about water in the middle east.
