No, of course not. But that's not the real question.

I think the concept of a United Nations is a good thing. I am well aware of the tensions between nationalism and globalism, between the "One World" ers and the "One Nation Under God" ers.

I think the USA is the beacon of the world. People from other nations may scoff, but even though we have faltered, we have never fallen. Who else can say that? We aren't the only ones of course, that's not what I mean. But we must lead because it is our duty.

Being one nation in a world full of nations is like being a member of a family. The relatives may be trashy, they may be educated and sophisticated. No matter what, they are our relatives. We can't disown them.
