"A businessman, who may be a good person, but who commits a sin like lying about a material fact, etc., to complete a business deal, is a bad businessman. But, that does not mean he is a bad person."

What would make him a bad person?

"And, of course, we all are guilty."

Original sin?

"On a more metaphysical level, let those who are without sin cast the first stone."

Prepare to be assaulted!

"But, as a civilization, we must set in place methods of ensuring proper remedy for breaches of contractual obligations."

Who is we? The good right minded SI smart set? Or just yourself?

"As for a proper response to your question, it depends upon the extent of their awareness of the fact that they are seeking evil goals."

Gao Seng, if you really believe you have the moral aptitude to measure others awareness "we" might all be in a lot of trouble.

"But, crimes against commerce are crimes against civilization."

That really just depends on what arbitrary rules one labors under.

Then what, pray tell, are the criterion you find significant in evaluating the "goodness" or "badness" of a person? Apparently, it has nothing to do(if we are to judge by your post) with the fact of SIN. You certainly present some neat ideas...
