oh yeah. where are all the SPARCS? Other than in your own overpriced hardware. The SPARC has a practical shelf life of 24 months, though it will limp along like SGI's MIPS archectecture before it is finally retired forever.

Sparc itself may be an 'open' standard, if you really think that extends to Sun's Sparc based servers you must be delusional...
