They are nasty, we have had the proof, and another one quite important : the USSR soldiers didn't give a damn any more, and their leaders weren't there. Remember how the Forth Army of The World was seen, the media was running all over the place, the experts were scared to death. But the show was over after act I. The following was just an attempt to break a world record of no casualty for the good guys, and for the edification of the future generations. It worked so well that the job wasn't finished. Now the Afghan trip will be much harder, of course, but not because of the enemies.
