CB, I don't understand your response or its combative tone. I merely posed the question of who benefits from rising CP outstanding, and I was interested in your views on this matter, or I wouldn't have asked.

There is no certainty, only the simulacra of certainty. At least that is what I have been told by the great sophists and solons. Surely "cui bono" is a legitimate question - in fact, I had always thought that the initials of your username were an allusion to it.

I don't get paid for this, either. But that does not mean that my reputation is not at stake here, even despite my use of a pseudonym. I attempt to conduct myself on the Internet, as in offline life, with a high standard of civility. Find me an example of where I have deliberately done otherwise online (and please except the years 1990-91, when I was still an arrogant little punk).

< Hey, I don't get paid for this stuff - I am just sitting here trying to figure things out like everyone else. If you want certainty, there are plenty of people who think they know everything, and will be happy to tell you.>

That's the XY chromosome crowd! We know everything [and invent everything] and can answer everything with that wonderful Male Answer Syndrome.
