I NEVER said it was terrorism you nut case...some looney drunk guy with a GUN...that's ALL...
Geeeeesh.
Authorities have arrested Daniel Carson Lewis, 37,
in connection with the shooting. Lewis is accused
of firing rounds from a high-caliber rifle at the
pipeline about 2:30 p.m. Thursday, puncturing the
line with one. He is charged with criminal mischief,
assault, driving while intoxicated and misconduct
involving weapons. Lewis, whose brother and
mother live in the Livengood area, has denied the
charges.

Authorities say the shooting appears to have been
a random act of vandalism. But the leak could
hardly have been in a worse place. The bullet
pierced the pipe near a valve at the base of a long
uphill rise. When Alyeska halted oil flow, about
20,000 barrels of crude flowed back on the valve
and the bullet hole. Under intense pressure, oil
shot out.

of course the fact that the pipeline could possible lose that much oil from ONE BULLET shows how fragile THAT delivery system is
