Hi Susie, I do not think that your son would mind you looking through his albums if you helped him make them. Just be Very careful if you decide to take a card out. You might want to keep an eye out for any Cal Ripken cards also. I would think that with Cal retiring that his cards might be worth something. Perhaps you should give your son a call and see what he wants to do with the cards. You just might have yourself a new hobby, card collecting. It takes some time but can be very relaxing and rewarding at the same time. That is unless you get into a panic "Where is that card? I've Got to find it and sell it before it goes down!" <GG> I gave up collecting because it was taking Too much of my time and I started losing interest. If you do look through the albums you might want to mark each one as to what cards are inside to save some searching in the future. I would also put a note by any valuable cards as to their value at the time to keep a track of whether the 'stock' is going Up or Down. I have heard of a lot of investors who started out collecting cards when they were younger. I went from stocks to cards and back to stocks. Of course my timing was Off by around 10 years <gg>.

Good Luck with the search Susie! It sounds like it will be some fun. A publication like Tuff Stuff or Becketts can help you out with the valuations. I think they still publish them. Get the most recent issues and remember that the pricings for the HOT cards will be lagging the markets. A quick check on Ebay should give an indication of current prices. I guess that I should probably dig around and see if I have any cards also. Oh Man! Sorting cards Again? :^)
