Can you imagine Muslim clerics issuing such a statement, and living to tell of it?? Yet, these Naturei Karta live unmolested in Israel in the Me'a Shearim disrict.

They also never mention that, having decided to live in Israel, members of this sect get protection from the IDF, as Islamic assailants don't stop to ask Jews on Jerusalem streets if they subscribe to Naturei Karta or not. Of course, the IDF protects all Jerusalem Jews, but the others actually serve in the military and do not call for the destruction of the country which is sheltering them.

I would credit their "message" more if they all moved back to Williamsburg, Brooklyn or Hungary, from whence they came, and issued their statements from there.

The second site you gave us contains this statement:

For hunderds of years there were Jewish communites of Prayer and study in the area that the State of Israel rules today. Those communites lived in complete peace with the surrounding Arabs. Not only in Israel, but also throughout the Arab world, traditionally Jews and Arabs lived together in peace. There were other lands where there was conflict. The Arab lands were completely peaceful for the Jews.

Now, whatever their current views, this statement is completely psychotic. Or, the author is lying, and knows he's lying.

Here's what really happened (and this is a very mild account):

These Neturei Karta extremists are similar to the Jewish extremists during the time of the attack by Rome on Jerusalem in the time of the Second Temple. They went around burning the food storage warehouses so that the redemption by G-d would come faster.
Instead this brought about massive starvation and the death of the masses, and a faster victory for the Romans.

The Neturei Karta are delusional, relying only on G-d to bring about the true return to Israel.

In the "Ethics of Our Fathers",it says "If I am not for myself, who will be for me?"

The Israel we know today is a manifestation of that statement, since it is obvious that it can't rely on the world for it's future survival.
