Somewhere Zeev posted years ago a salon.com review to this book - complete-review.com ... i haven't read it but it's widely read in México, Paz is our preeminent author of the last century, and due to his involvement there is very high awareness of India in the country ... different nations tend to have different viewpoints on the rest of the world, and relationships arise which are not directly explainable by political or economic self-interest .... [edit] - no it wasn't Zeev it was Mohan Marette, i've got it stashed over here - #reply-7361246 ... but Zeev was on India Coffee House around that time, i'm pretty sure Every US national grows up knowing he/she is a citizen of the nation with the most overwhelmingly powerful military force the planet has ever known, and the most money by far ... it's the start of the value system, and pervades it utterly ... takes a lot to overcome such a handicap, for some, i suppose eh ... much less for others though, it must be said .... cheers
