They STILL didn't get it right, Wayne. The US Govt complete shut down GOLD MINING, shifting all existing miners, some out here in Eastern OR to basic metals mines for the duration of the war effot. We all know out here of mines where trucks of brought to surface ore was literally dumped, under military escort and "assistance" as men, trucks, and excavation devices were physically reallocated and moved to strategic metallic mine sites, buth elsewhere in Oregon as well as neighboring states, such as Washington, Nevada, Idaho and Montana. Searching for the old timers and following up on their factual memories of those locations is part of the fun & prosperity of mining out here in Eastern Oregon!
