techreports,

So should we compare Qualcomm to Microsoft? Intel? Cisco? Oracle?

I think a good place to start is comparing Q to Softie and Intel of an earlier era. The basis of my thinking is that Q management has mentioned a couple of times that they are positioning the company to be the Microsoft and Intel of the wireless world. Such a comparison might be a good test of management's effectiveness.

As for valuation, I don't think there are any companies that we can say, "Since Company ABC is so much like Qualcomm, that's the comparison for valuation purposes that should be made."
