Yes, MZM has been blown up in the last three weeks, possibly by as much as another $80 B or even more, but MZM can contract as rapidly. In order to have inflation, you must have demand that exceeds capacity, currently, the world is awash in capacity in most areas, from agriculture, to oil, to gold, cars, capital equipment in general, and even technology, not an environment where inflation can flourish. Actually, there is a real and present danger of deflation (which will be minimized once tax reforms, particularly reduction in "payroll taxes", take place). If at all, you'll have a repeat of the post LTCM and Y2K bulges in MZM, a stock market rocketing, then, you'll pay the piper, but for now, I doubt that the world is going to listen to the Duma and convert dollars into roubles. On September 11th, for few hours, the rouble went from 30 to the dollar to around 20 to the dollar, by the next day, it was back at just under 30. Unless gold breaks $325, I would not worry, and frankly, I think that the $295 area here is solid selling point for corporate hedgers and for GS.
