Bob,

We had 5.9% in 1980-81 recession from peak to low. But in the more severe 1974 it was 10.7%. Silver production had to be affected no doubt.

This particular downturn has been especially severe and long lasting, and comes with many companies in already poor shape. I wonder how much financial condition will be the key variable in this one? Intuitively I'd say a lot. If you can't make your payroll or perform maintenance, that could escalate closures. Banks won't want to run them at a loss.
