Eric: The better question is, "If I were born Osama Bin Ladin, what would I have done with my life?"

Anything you wanted. The man comes from a hugely wealthy and well-connected family in Saudi Arabia.

"If I were born Osama Bin Ladin, what would I have done with my life?"

Drop aside the AK-47 riffle, and do something useful
- plant something (except opium!), build a school,
road, anything. What the heck is "hope-free,
opportunity-free"? As for my take, their hope
is domination of religious fog over developing
industrial and civilized society. This is hopeless,
of course.

Eric,

No person fortunate enough to have been born in America would choose to be born in an impoverished, hope-free, opportunity-free place instead. The better question is, "If I were born Osama Bin Ladin, what would I have done with my life?"

How exactly anything Bin Laden did help the impoverished, hope-free, opportunity-free?

And of course this "impoverished" etc. stuff is a relative term, not an absolute term.
