Reza Shah of Iran did a similar thing in Iran, and took the country 100 years forward in a matter of a couple of years. It is amazing how things change for the better when you get rid of the religious psychopaths. Too bad Reza Shah's son (the ex shah of Iran) did not have the leadership quality that his father had and tried to be nice to the religious Muslim psychopaths by first putting them on the government's payroll and then cutting their salaries, instead of just getting rid of them (and not neccessarily killing them but just expelling them)... If he had done that, Iran would have been a different country than it is today, and we may not even have had the Osaman and Taliban psychopaths to deal with.
