Unluckily, I was on my way to a "tea party" in Chevy Chase when things broke. I went by my mother's, in Bethesda, to drop off my son, so he could have a visit while we fulfilled our social obligation, and was told by a brother that bombing had begun. I desperately searched for news on the radio, finally resorting to AM stations. We were early, so we had time to catch up before going to the party....Anyway, my first reaction, once I had ascertained the operation, was KABOOM!......I have waited a long time for us to come to grips with this particular threat........
