Sounds like a less expensive higher performance solution for the Pentium 4. Congratulations to SiS for a great
design.

Now, when are motherboards due out?

333MHz DDRSDRAM won't be even half-decently available until 1Q02. While I haven't read Anand's review, I am fairly confident that the chipset also supports 266MHz DDRSDRAM. It is in this configuration that it will be available until late Q1, if statements by the main memory makers is any to go by.

There's also the problem of volume... I really, really hope SiS have solved their production issues, as they have some of the best (and cheapest to boot!) solutions out there for both P4 and Athlon.

Currently, however, only a few motherboard companies are using the SiS735 chipset, despite stellar performance, great stability and very competitive pricing. The main reason I've heard for this is has been SiS' inability to get the supply side of things working smoothly.
