Thanx Jerry. By the way, just want to add that I turn to this thread every day tho mainly I've been lurking. It has remained a superb source of info (with occasional silly bickering <g>) and really, one of the best examples of what the internet can offer. So thanx to all who participate & to Ken for starting & guiding it so well.

Well, what about these potential pragmatic problems: 1) We would make a martyr of bin Laden; and 2) We couldn't confirm that we got him and his lieutenants, or the bombs. We need the evidence. And it's probably better for relations with our Muslim friends (i.e. the overwhelming majority of Muslims) that the Northern Alliance or other Muslims produce them. A large part of this war is winning over the hearts and minds of a whole generation of children who might wind up being future terrorists.
