GT, regarding oil and Arabs. On very important thing is to differentiate between Islam, Muslims, Arabs and Islamic fundamentalist. What I write is VERY POLITICAL incorrect <GGG> ........... after all if you really upset Saudi Arabia et - al oil may reach $40 a barrel in no time. Bangladesh, Indonesia, Turkey and many other countries in Asia , are not Arabs but are Muslims Nations / States and, adopted the Islam as their religion, including India who has a big number of it's citizen practicing Islam. Those States do not have an formal policy to hate the Western Civilization as many Arab states do. It also seems that no many terrorists came out of their society and culture. In the US many of it's citizen also adopted the Islam as their religion (converted to Islam ) and have not degenerated into terrorist movement, as have certain groups in the US (like the variety of "White Supremacy" groups).. Further the average Afghanistani hates the Arabs who infiltrated or conquered their land as a result of the Taliban and bin Laden ......... the World have not witnessed as far as I know Afghanistani terrorists ......... only Terrorist from Arab countries trained in Afghanistan (keep in mind most of those carrying the Sept.11 attack were from Saudi Arabia and many of their accomplices have Arabic Nationality). The Nation calling themselves Arabs are in Northern Africa from Algiers to Egypt further to Syria Iraq and Arab Peninsula. Sudan an exception are not Arabs but cultivate terrorism as is the present regime of Pakistan. On more note that is worth considering -- until this weekend and after Sept. 11, there was a very intensified action of terror against Israel from the various faction under Arrafat's PLO umbrella of terrorist organization. ......... same happened in Kashmir another target of terrorist and on the fringes of bin Laden imaginary Caliphate. After last night attack on the Taliban there is an eerie calm within the PLO terrorist organization and for the first time instead of flaring up violent demonstration against Israel and the West and in support of bin Laden ....... now the PLO police dispersed such demonstration. Further all of a sudden PLO leadership distance themselves from bin Laden. .......... It seems that the more moderate Arabs there gained the upper hand. The conclusion are very clear the Arab terrorists, bin Laden and PLO are linked as evidenced in bin Laden speech. Further the recent terrorist attacks on Israel were designated to hinder the support US action from many other Muslim non-Arab nations and an effort to deflect the attention of the world from the tragic events of Sept. 11, to the Israeli Arab conflict, and possible destabilize the Jordanian Kingdom who is shifting from it's support of Iraq in 1990 to a more Western policy. Not sure as to the purpose of Kashmir terror acts ......... possible arousing India to attack Pakistan The other sad conclusion is that those people only understand the language of force, guns and bombs. IMHO there is a great chance to unify the world and get rid of terrorist organization and other Arab sponsored covert operation against the Western Civilization if the present alliance will move further to clean other terrorist hot spots in the ME, Egypt Algiers and Sudan and establish a true open educated and democratic society in the Arab Peninsula. bwdik
