Strangely....few Moslem or should I say Arab Women worked in professional careers, being mostly secretaries and teacherrs etc.

Most of the working women, in technical and professional fields were foreigners...British, American, Indian, a few Lebanese.....

And the locals didn't seem to mind.

One of my friends <acquaintances> was a lady from the Royal Family of Sharjah. She worked at Dubai Port as their IT Director. She's just about the only Arab woman i know who was into a profession other than the normal professions of teaching, nursing etc.

I guess most of the locals were rich and well provided for.
