Is there any more moronic oxymoron than "Rules of Warfare"? War is not something the Marquis of Queensbury thought up. It's the last resort of a society's survival and therefore there are no rules except don't start if you can't handle being obliterated back into free floating atoms.

I totally agree that we have been too weak in the past. I have a little more confidence in our present leadership, but it will be such a difficult task that I still fear we will not ultimately see it through. The biggest mistake would be to stop once the Taliban and OBL are defeated.
