Not sure about system stability with DDR-333, but these benchmarks are a sign of things to come.

We're getting a glimmer here and a flicker there... I'm waiting to see benchmarks using the following combinations:

533MHz FSB with DDR333 + Northwood at 2.2+GHz
533MHz FSB with PC1067 RDRAM + Northwood at 2.2+GHz

I honestly wish Intel was in a better position to skip the 400MHz FSB for the Northwood, although it will be interesting to compare the benchmarks of equally clocked P4's. We already know that the N'wood is going to have 2X the L2 cache. Given the time lag involved, it is conceivable that other architectural improvements have been incorporated into the N'wood.

So how long until we start seeing a base 166MHz bus double or quad pumped? Even the fastest bus speeds today are double or quad pumping the old 100MHz or 133MHz settings. How fast would the P4 be with an effective 667MHz (neighbor of the beast) FSB?

performance of P4 DDR chipset from SiS:

Impressive performance, and SiS has a bus license!
