MDR

John: Your analysis of the ridiculously low ratios of the MDR divisions is, as they say in Britain, spot on.

Regarding the legal issue, normally transactions that occur within 90 days of a filing can be voided by the bankruptcy court, but that period extends to 1 year for insider transactions. An inter-company transfer would be classified as an insider transaction. I'm not sure, but there may be a provision to extend this period if it can be proven that the debtor company was insolvent at the time of the transfer. Needless to say, from a bankruptcy perspective, it should be an interesting trial and decision.

Regardless of the outcome, the parent company, MDR, is still an unbelievable value at current prices.
