"A passenger tried to get into the cockpit and was reportedly subdued by other passengers. " WHOA! I flew back to the Bay Area last night on a one day trip to LAX and I can tell you there were lots of armed Natl. Guardsmen and cops patrolling everywhere, inside the gate areas as well as outside the checkpoint areas, at LAX; Oakland was a lot less heavily guarded, but the bombing had just started shortly before I left OAK. And there was an F16 taxiing by towards the LAX runway as the SWA flight was heading for the gate. Also, when I flew down to LA some guy was going through the checkpoint and had, in his pocket, one of those industrial strength 12-in-one knives - big 'un - and he was shocked that they were confiscating it. Where the hell has this guy been for 3 weeks? Why I am amazed that there are so many idiots around sorta amazes me too! Dee Jay
