he was distinguishing between President Bush's strategy and that emanating from the State Department The funny thing is President Bush doesn't have a strategy, he just has resolve. Colin Powell is a Bush Daddy man. Condalina Rice, Rumsfeld, and so some degree Cheney are all waiting for Osama to fall, then they are going to boot Powell back to the Argentina cocktail circuit while they resume the right wing agenda. Just watch. TP

"Different appointees of an administration will sometimes criticize each other, certainly. But junior appointees at the Defense Department do not go on TV and explicitly accuse the Secretary of State of ignoring the president's wishes or undermining his policies." They don't usually, do they? I'd be surprised if the President tolerated Mr. Perle's behavior although there were rumors a few weeks ago about the internal conflicts in the Bush administration. By this time, I thought that they would have been resolved.
