But the choice may have nothing to do with the argument aspect of it. Sometimes things aren't any more "deep" than what's on the surface.

There's a few posters that IMO habitually post utter nonsense, their posts have nothing to do with anything, they post one line sound bites trying to be "profound", and just disrupt the flow of the thread.

So, IMO putting them on ignore doesn't mean anything other than you just don't want to be "bothered".
