As CB correctly pointed out, they were not facts.

If you going to debate history and facts .. make sure you know both.

As with any other effort, len, there are those who pursue history with intellectual honesty, and those propagandists -- whether jingoist or anti-jingoist -- who deliberately twist the evidence to fit a party line.
