No, government regulation did that. Do you know anything about the Trust Busters, led by none other than famous progressive Teddy Roosevelt? He was considered by some TOO conservative. A conservationist, too. A Republican. A real person though, who was limited by his bigotry. But who doesn't have some limitation? You can thank your lucky stars that the government interfered with commercialization of noxious substances. Too bad, though. Your Coke doesn't have the cocaine that it used to and there's no formaldehyde in your milk anymore.

I don't think that information Robber Barrons are far behind. That is why I have an operating system that is technologically inferior to Unix if I want to run commercial software. Oh, and why attacks are so much more less effective on Unix platforms where BG didn't leave back doors into your system.
