A very good post on GOLD, the COT's and the lease rates etc.

Message 16496408

some COT news:

After the close the CFCT Commitments of Traders report for October 9
showed the long commercial position was 31,042 lots and the short commercial
position was 95,771 while the long non commercial position was 53,926 and
the short non commercial position was 21,148 lots. The net long non
commercial position was 32,778 compared to 35,255 the week before and 36,638
two weeks ago. It would appear that the speculative interest on the long
side of the gold market has declined a bit. There is some opinion in the
gold market that the decline in gold may have run its course. Improved
investor sentiment as reflected in the recovery in equity markets could be
working against the gold as well. After testing $295 at the start of this
week the December contract is back in the low $280 area.
