> We can even talk about zinc, Bob <G>,

You almost have to talk lead-zinc, since so much silver comes from lead-zinc mines !

I was doing a bit of research on Century and it contains an impressive proven and probable reserve of 96.9 million mt, containing 11.6% zinc, 1.6% lead, and 43 gpt silver (about $US100 of metal per mt). Someone is going to keep mining that project.

Pasminco's Broken Hill property has silver resources stated at 161gpt and reserves at 120 gpt - not bad for a zinc mine ;)

Go for it, i'll come over and argue at you ... if you put it in this section Gold Mining and Natural Resources it is ineligible for the hot subjects list, if that matters ... such would not be the case in this section - siliconinvestor.com
... and i do think that resources are about to become a 'market trend' ... so it could be argued that it fits -g-

Personally, <hint> i think real short headers are best</hint> -g- ... and what about putting Bob's site in the header, goldsheetlinks.com .. ? .. useful

It's sad, because once in a while, in the narrow gaps between bouts of domineering verbosity, that poster has at times demonstrated some degree of knowledge and an active mind ... but hey, what can you do, eh ... cheers

[edit] - lead, zinc, copper, they'll all come into it since so much gold and silver comes as byproduct ... i've been wondering for some time if low zinc prices might force shutdowns and improve balance in silver, but Bob makes an excellent point with Antamina, its base-metal economics are strong at these prices and it will produce bookoo silver

[edit 2] - cataloguing can be useful too ... for instance here is a partial list of a series you did on the effects of the gold bear on the quality and duration of remaining reserves -

And for you who wasn't there, Russface, here's the score: I had air transporation arranged. I had private funding, some of them lurkers on this thread no less. I had a well-respected stateside gold-assay lab secured and ready.. I had witnesses from the press and from the industry, Canadian and US press and industry insiders for the testing of CERTIFIED CHAIN OF CUSTODY BUSANG drillcores out of Australia after Strathcona did their AAS bullshit tests on them.

Shock Shock. Strathcona would NOT let them out of their sight. Wouldn't send certified splits. Wouldn't do jack to get independent verification of their trashing Bre-X report.

I had no problem with Strathcona observing independent testing here stateside of those certified chain of custody cores and/or splits. They would NOT permit any 3rd party personally observing their lab work, not even ABX, which was really strange. Strathcona had one agenda, and everyone to this day knows what it was: bury Bre-X shareholders by their any ruse believeable by the ignorant. This very Suharto stained POLITICAL & central banker reality is where the lesson of political connections to gold mining and gold production and gold pricing was driven home in spades, to thousands of us.. the Bre-X saga.

And I fought for these Bre-X shareholders even AFTER I SOLD. This is one of the biggest frauds in history allright...fraud perp'd by Strathcona. Sometime if you really want to know the truth, read what another Russ, a buddy of mine from up in Canada, reposted for the entire thread to read regarding Strathcona's publically posted protocol of what they were going to do. It reaked of error.

Hell, even the RCMP doesn't have custody of those Bre-X cores Strathcona tested. You want to hoot and holler, help yourself. But you weren't there. You didn't play. And you didn't make a single thin dime on Bre-X, nor lose one. How dare you judge those of us who were, winners like me or losers who lost homes, retirement money, loved ones, jobs, marriages, lost their parents' homes, committed suicide. Pretty high price to pay for unsupervised Strathcona AAS testing on the biggest gold mine find of recent times.

It's so easy for you to sit in your little plastic lawn chair infront of your PC keyboard and crank out "research," now laughing at wiped out Bre-X shareholders. Some karmic justice you have awaiting you, laddie. Your wild responses and anger are misplaced. You must have a leak in your boat and are terrified someone (like me?) will find it.

The best word to describe your most recent post to me is "OVER-REACTION"

So laugh yourself silly, Russ. I'll have the last laugh as you go down in flames...its only a matter of time, and I've outlasted slicker than you!

Stepped over the line? Yeah, right? What line? Your piddly private interp of your version of the thread purpose?
Go for it, pal. Accept Pemberton's generous offer. You and Claude go over there and woo fresh meat. Should be worth a few penny pluckin' pocket-pickin's

Ever been inside a lab? Ever witnessed chain of custody cores? Ever conducted a bottle roll prior to aspirating into a flame? Ever even tried to calibrate an AAS machine? Ever even read a legit assay lab protocol?

No? NO???? How dare you!!!

gold_tutor

You just keep foaming at the mouth and letting folks know what you want them to buy and never tellin' em to sell.
Be my guest. You ain't got THAT much money, nor that many subscribers to last very long anyhow.

Now, if your name was KiwiJohn, maybe I'd be inclined to be impressed...but Russ? Give it yer best, pal. When you want to see how the rubber meets the road in the goldmining biz, gimme a shout. Just remember, Kilborn Engineering, a highly respected mining (arm's length) engineering firm did all the paperwork and upgrading ozs of production for Busang. What are your credentials again?

You are quite a hothead...one of your "touts" not doing so good and you afraid I'll reveal it for the POS that it truly is? Only insecure and immature act like you do...bluff and bluster and fluster. Your performance should be good for at least a couple of new subscriptions!
