Were any white people killed in those incidents

IF that is a criteria for discussion, I withdraw from the discussion.

re self defence or aggression :

whether it was self defence or an act of aggression, will no doubt be debated by many over the next few years.

It dont change the fact that those events were a set of tragic events. Maybe there's something to learn from.

I'm sorry, I also meant to mention in my previous post (but hit the submit button too soon), that many of my good friends hail from Punjab, and we have extremely friendly relationships.

cheers, kumar

>>I just think it's rude to kill innocent, unsuspecting civilians ... especially white ones (that's not because I think white people are better, just that you don't know enough about them)<<

Bless you, child, what a charming idea. Believe it or not, there used to be plenty of authority here in the United States in murder trials for the defense that the defendant "needed killing" - but it's not considered a good defense today. Still, I do think it's something that juries consider, anyway.

I do agree - unfortunately, there are times when killing is justified - if only killing were limited to those who "needed killing," what a better world this would be.

Wasn't that in self defense? Were any white people killed in those incidents?
I just think it's rude to kill innocent, unsuspecting civilians ... especially white ones (that's not because I think white people are better, just that you don't know enough about them)

Whats this obsession you have with not killing white people? Are u suggesting that its ok to kill brown and black people??

And what's so mysterious about white people that you dont know but do know about the brown and black people?

you should have some respect for people that you've never met

This is just too funny........
I have never met Usama Mohamed bin Laden. Should I respect him??

You have to admit it's bloody rude what the Muslims did. It's a black mark that will stay on their record through history

bloody - yes
rude........?? is that the best description u can come up with?

And as far as history is concerned, do you know anything about Indian history? do you know how muslims came to India and the Indian sub continent? do you know the atrocities they committed including but not limited to murder, rape, rob, plunder and anything that barbarians do to people and countries they conquer.

Do you know that the Sikh religion grew out of a necessity to fight these muslim barbarians (and later the english brbarians - ask your parents about Jalianwala bagh) and they started wearing the turban so that they could be identified and others would not be indiscriminately persecuted?

You have the knowledge base right at home - please ask them about your history. Its a history of proud fighting people who have served India well over centuries.

You apparently didn't note that Kumar lives in Pennsylvania, not India. He lived in California for years before that, and New Zealand for years before that. All of these places have an abundance of white people (plus lots of white sheep in NZ). He also has a lot of white friends, and hasn't tried to kill any of us... yet <gg>.

I think you made an attempt to inject some wry humor in your post, but it didn't exactly work. Feel free to visit the Mudge thread to get some practice.
