Here are the public companies they mention: Diagnostics: ACLA, BDAL, CPHD, CBTE, CRXA, MOT, NGEN, ORCH, TBIO, XTRN. Therapeutics: ABGX, CERS, GILD, GSK, SIGA Vaccines: ACAM, BRL, BREL, MAXY, NVAX. Some of these are clearly not bioterror plays (MOT, GSK). Some I've plain never heard of (XTRN?). It's also not a complete list, as I know that IGEN for one has a CRADA with AMRIID:IGEN International, Inc. (ticker: IGEN, exchange: NASDAQ) News Release - 5/16/2001 IGEN, U.S. Army Sign R&D Agreement on Toxin Tests Collaboration to Include Development of Tests for Seafood Toxins GAITHERSBURG, Md., May 16 /PRNewswire/ -- IGEN International Inc. (Nasdaq: IGEN) and the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) have entered into a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) to develop tests, based on IGEN's proprietary ORIGEN(R) technology, for food-, water-, and environmentally borne toxins. Under the CRADA, ORIGEN-based assays will be developed for toxins such as ciguatoxin, brevetoxins, botulinum neurotoxins, and staphylococcal enterotoxins. These tests are intended to have application to USAMRIID's role in protecting American troops from diseases caused by biological agents. A commercial objective of the CRADA is to develop products that can be used by government agencies, food processors, and analytical laboratories. One such application of this technology is the potential for detection of toxins in seafood. Peter P.S. I added CPHD to the portfolio of "pure plays."
