Hi deibutfeif; If the Afghanistanis had spent 10 years preparing to fight the U.S., I think they'd have been in better shape. But I agree with you, I doubt that they've taken the measures necessary to properly disguise their operations from the sky. Here's a great article from Jane's about the Taliban's military forces. It gives a very good idea about their weaknesses to U.S. air power, at least if you read it with that in mind:

P.S. The weaknesses I refer to are the "surprise, mobility, speed, impressive logistics support and an efficient command, control, communications and intelligence". Most of these are stuff the U.S. can put a limit on.
