Regardless, I think you're completely off the mark in assessing his motives. I think he'd much rather be a historically remembered "martyr" than be put on trial somewhere. Well, he would probably most enjoy being a fighter for the restoration of a new rightly-guided caliphate in the Middle East, but given the realistic possibilities... What's amazing and intriguing to me is that had he actually succeeded in his plans and hit the Capitol (with at least a few dozen congressman or senators inside) or the White House, he would be in the history books permanently. As it is, he's probably a footnote (up there with William McKinley's assassin) within a couple decades. -Eric
