Debka's reputation for accuracy is so-so. FaultLine addressed the issue on the Foreign Affairs thread:

Message 16474632

I remain uneasy.

What's special about this report ? How hard is it to get it, when one has connections who have connections with all major "Agencies"?

Furthermore, it is quite normal the Chinese worry the US are going to "invade" their border with Afghanistan, chasing Bin in case he escapes on that route.

They also should want to contribute their part to the Alliance, and if they take a bite of that Afghani eastern tongue and swallow it for good ; we'll pretend we were looking the other way.

Hi Andy Thomas; Re debka's reputation for accuracy. I wouldn't believe a single thing they print. If they printed something I already believed, I would begin to doubt it.
