They have some Al Qaeda bozo on TV right now. Says the US is at fault for Israel being there. What a dope. His clowns fought three wars against Israel and were beat in every one even though the odds were on their side. Then they blame the US for their own impotence.

I think that we will indeed have to be careful in what we do. Already, I am changing some of the things that I do, and the way that I do them. I will certainly not travel by air as much as I have in the past. I would rather drive. My son (who is a staunch democrat) called me up a couple of weeks ago, and said that he was really happy that Gore had not made it to the presidency. I have heard that from several others that I know voted for Gore in the last election.

I think that Colin Powell is taking a stronger roll in what is going on. Bush seems to be listening to him, and siding with him more now than previously. That is a good thing! Since I served in Vietnam, I really have a lot of good to say about him. He definitely grew in that War (police action), and it has really done him well. So far, every move that is being made is what I would do.

I too am using the weakening Rand in my investments. A large part of my holding is in Drooy. I know, I know, a lot of people including Bob J. would tell me that that is not good, but I looked at it real hard, and felt that it could be a two way winner. If the Rand goes down, the costs go down, and if gold goes up, revenue goes up. With a significant increase in the price of gold, they could do real well. They are also heavily traded. I started buying over 3 years ago, so most of what I have I bought on the cheap. I made my original money in Zero coupon bonds, buying when interest rates were high, and selling when they went down.

I hope that Tom will give us a major 9 wave up cycle!
