HI Snowshoe, that is definitely the right wing, white man's burden point of view. Right wing, white ???? Anyway, realise that I'm not laying all the blame on this at the US door. DAK and CB are both correct on this issue, (an interesting pairing LOL). As CB correctly points out using as an example slavery, these things are not the sole purview of Europeans nor Americans, simply part of the human condition. And as DAK points out the Americans have tacitly created much of this atmosphere through poor foreign policy decisions. These are dangerous times. Yeah, for us cuddly ones too.
