I agree... but I think that to the sufficiently religious, that absence is in itself pushing - forcing them not to pray, as it were.
And, of course, it's their duty to try and convert such poor sinners as me.
They don't seem to appreciate it when I ask them to convert me into a rich sinner. I figure that's a much better bargain, and probably easier for them as well, but still...

I do not see how ABSENCE is pushing.

Its not pushing if it simply isn't there. It is pushing it out if people force it out through lawsuits or through policies forbidding any religious sign or symbol or expression. But then if you don't forbid it someone will get offended by its presence.
