Paul: Well that all sounds reasonable. What concerns me, however, is that we are vulnerable not simply to attacks and random acts of violence -- although nobody is so happy about that I am sure -- but to acts of violence that seem to have an outsized impact on our economy, and through us to the rest of the world. I had a business meeting last night and at some point said I am happy flying in Asia right now, but I would not fly into LA -- sure enough, I was speaking with somebody who IS planning a trip through LA. People want to know "is it safe". What are you supposed to say if the truthful answer is "no, it is probably not safe"?
