Base metals are trading at multi year lows. Production cuts are starting to happen. Asarco has issued their WARN notice for their zinc mines in Tennessee. Invest in low cost producers as prices of metals won't go down much more because of closures which will put a floor on metal prices. Look at First Quantum as a low cost copper producer

This is true of all minerals exploration and development: it takes years from the first drill holes to the first sale of the refined mineral. I agree. But the emotion and salesmanship and hype and marketing and stock performance do depend on the price of the underlying commodity.
