I know very little about martial arts, but I do know that Tai Chi doesn't involve sticks. I've no interest in martial arts- you need to take this up with Gao, I believe. I just assumed he was thinking of Tai Qwon Do because of the "Tai" at the beginning- not because it had anything to do with sticks, or not.
