<It has to be a fractional system, Claude, you participate in a limited commodity with an unlimited demand>

No it can't fractional be as for each goldgram (digital gram) in circulation there is a physical gram in the vault. Period. There is no debt, no leverage in these systems.

Commodities are indeed limited. But who cares now that gold has become highly divisible. You can spend 1 grams of gold to your friend. There are plenty of grams enough for each individual on this planet to have 20 each. But when spending digital gold, you can spend 0.10 gram or 0.01, 0.001 or whatever grams... Each of them will always be backed by the gold in the vault, gram for gram. So we will never be out of gold to spend.

If more and more gold goes into the digital gold systems and is used as a currency, less and less will become available for other uses (jewellery, industrial...). The value of a gram in fiat currency will go up. There is no fractional anything here. It will just be the gold currency that will become more valuable against other currencies.

The total value of the gold on this planet is some $1.1 trillion. There are some 25 trillion of fiat currencies in global money stock. There is no problem for gold to increase its value in term on the fiat currencies, if needed to. The gold could be worth 25 trillions or 50 trillions in USD... who cares. In the modern digital gold currency systems, there will always be 100% gold backing.
